Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about how ProblemSeekr.AI works, how plans are structured, and how to get the most out of your problem briefs.

Product & data

What is ProblemSeekr.AI?

ProblemSeekr.AI mines real conversations in public communities and turns them into structured “problem briefs” — with summaries, solution proposals, stacks, and monetization angles — so you can see what people are actually struggling with before you build.

What exactly is a problem brief?

A brief is a single opportunity card that includes a plain-English problem summary, a deeper problem detail section, an AI solution proposal, suggested tech or delivery stacks, and monetization ideas. You can favorite briefs, filter them by area or industry, and revisit them later.

Where does the data come from?

We focus on high-signal content from public conversations — things like questions, complaints, “how do I…?” posts, and similar threads. We ignore static news, low-effort posts, and one-off rants where there’s no recurring, productizable pain.

How often is the data updated?

Our ingestion and AI workers run continuously. New posts are pulled in throughout the day, then processed into problem briefs as the pipeline runs. The Explore pages update as new briefs are generated.

How does the AI decide what’s a real opportunity?

We combine engagement signals (e.g. upvotes and discussion volume) with strict AI prompts. Posts that look like news, PSAs, one-off bugs, or vague wish-lists are rejected. Only recurring, solvable problems with clear beneficiaries make it through as opportunities.

Can I search or filter the problems?

Yes. You can search by label or summary and filter by product area (Onboarding, Reporting, Automation, etc.), industry (SaaS, Healthcare, Professional Services, and more), minimum score, and level of effort.

Plans & billing

How do the plans work?

Plans are account-based. Starter gives you a limited number of full briefs each month so you can explore the product. Builder and above unlock unlimited briefs, additional tracked niches, and more aggressive ingestion for your segments.

What does the Starter plan include?

Starter is for solo builders validating a few ideas. You can open up to 10 full problem briefs per calendar month, track 1 niche, and receive a weekly opportunity email. You can upgrade at any time if you need more throughput.

What do Builder and Studio add?

Builder unlocks unlimited briefs, more tracked niches, and priority email support. Studio is for teams and studios that need multiple tracked niches, shared favorites, and higher-volume exploration. If you’re unsure which fits you, start with Starter and upgrade once you see value.

Can I change or cancel my plan?

Yes. You can change plans or cancel at any time. Your billing is handled through Stripe, and you’ll keep access through the end of your current billing period. There are no long-term contracts.

How are brief limits counted?

Limits apply to full brief views (the detailed problem page), not list views on the Explore pages. On Starter, every time you open a new brief for the first time in a calendar month it counts toward your 10-brief limit. Revisiting a brief you’ve already opened in the same month does not consume an extra credit.

Do admins have any limits?

No. Admin accounts are exempt from plan limits so you can monitor ingestion, AI processing, and overall product health without consuming usage.

Usage & limits

What’s the difference between Explore preview and full access?

Explore preview is what you see when you’re not signed in — aggregate counts by area and industry, plus a sense of the opportunity surface. Once you create an account and start a plan, you can open full briefs with all the details, stacks, and monetization ideas.

Can I export data from ProblemSeekr.AI?

Yes. Builder and Studio plans include CSV export from the Problems page, so you can pull briefs into your own research notebooks, Notion, Airtable, or wherever you like to plan work.

Will there be an API?

An API is on our roadmap for Studio and Enterprise-style use cases (studios, venture labs, and product orgs). If you’re interested in early access or custom integrations, reach out via the Contact page.

How reliable are the AI summaries and proposals?

Every brief is generated from real discussions plus a strict prompt. The AI is good at consolidating patterns and suggesting solution angles, but you should still apply your own judgement, customer interviews, and validation work before committing to a build.

What about privacy and personal data?

We work with publicly available conversations and do not require access to your internal systems by default. For Enterprise use cases that involve internal data sources, we only work under explicit agreement and with appropriate safeguards in place.

Who should use ProblemSeekr.AI?

Indie hackers, solo founders, consultants, and product teams who want a repeatable way to see real demand signals — instead of starting from a blank page or relying purely on intuition.
